Freelance

Online Sales and Small Business Organization
Working as a data scientist, this freelance project provided me an opportunity to address online sales and organization for a small business. I developed an inventory management system and streamlined the sales/order fulfillment process. Additionally, I set up tools to track key metrics and deliver reports with actionable recommendations for boosting online sales and reducing cost. This work has resulted in more timely order deliveries and record-keeping. This small business owner has extensive experience operating brick-and-mortar stores, so it has been a pleasure to help her transition to more accessible online organization and documentation.

Book Sales Analysis
For this analysis project, I took the perspective of a consultant working with a potential bookstore owner. The hypothetical client was interested in opening a new bookstore, but before finalizing her plans, wanted to better understand what types of books she should stock her store with. Understanding that it was not feasible to stock every book ever published in her store, I analyzed a publicly available dataset of book sales to provide recommendations for the types of books that would sell best in her new store.
Uses Python and Jupyter Notebook with this dataset from Kaggle.
